A few pieces of fruit can do. Adding a few vegetables such as carrots, celery or a few leaves of lettuce to the usual fruit in the morning will make the breakfast last longer into the day. Also eat a few nuts such as walnuts, almonds, pecan or cashew to add even more fibre and protein to your breakfast.

Bowel of cereal is a very common breakfast. Whole grain porridge with muesli on top keeps you going for hours. There are several things you need to consider when having you breakfast cereal. Avoid commercial cereals as these are generally high in simple sugars, fats and contain a lot of energy. Use skim milk and fresh fruit for your cereal.
